POSITION SUMMARY

Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to collect test samples, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Enters data into electronic health record including but not limited to chief complaint, past medical history, medications, labs, and pharmacy. Information is added to the patient’s chart within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Check voicemails every two hours. Call backs must be done within 24 hours of receiving.
  • Documentation: Any interaction that pertains to the patient needs to be documented in the appreciate EMR system within 24 hours from the time of appointment.
  • Acts as a liaison between Bayless staff and its patients to build productive and collaborative relationships that support the agency’s goals and core value.
  • All scanning must be attached to the appropriate place within 48hours.
  • Ensures TO Do’s are getting completed on a daily basis.
  • Complete Prior Authorizations within 48 hours of receiving
  • Completing prescription refill requests within 48 hours of receiving. 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certificate or completion of a CAAHEP accredited/medical assisting program or medical assistant experience
  • Provide proof of CPR and First Aid Certification, Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
  • Proficient in electronic clinical documentation and scheduling systems.
  • HIPPA compliant
  • Negative TB test
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred
  • Must provide proof of a valid driver’s license, valid auto insurance coverage with at least the minimum state coverage
