Dr. Pelberg joined Bayless in 2013 after his previous position of Chief Medical Officer at INSPIRIS from 2008-2011. Prior to joining, INSPIRIS, Dr. Pelberg spent nineteen years at Schaller Anderson in Phoenix, first as Vice President and National Medical Director (1988-1995), then as President and Chief Medical Officer from 1999-2007. He also practiced internal medicine from 1981-1999, during which time he was also an instructor of clinical medicine for the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Among just some of his professional activities are: Past President of the American College of Medical Quality, Chairman of the Education Commission for the ACMQ, as well as consultant to several health care organizations including the Bureau of Primary Care, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Sentara Health System, Cigna, Samaritan Health System, and Duke University.
At Bayless, Dr. Pelberg is responsible for assisting in the development of combining physical medicine practices with behavioral health services as an integrated service delivery program designed to improve patient outcomes and lower healthcare related spending.
