Dr. Charlotte Gurule was born and raised in rural southern Colorado. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She studied at the Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, and then her MD at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Banner University Medical Center followed by a Faculty Development Fellowship as Faculty Member and Medical Director at the Banner University Family Medicine Residency program and loved teaching both medical students and resident doctors. During her time at Banner she won several teaching awards. Dr. Gurule went on to lead health care teams in providing comprehensive, high touch, primary care for a Medicare population.
She finds great joy in providing care for patients of all ages. Her interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, underserved populations, reducing disparities in healthcare and enhancing the patient experience.
Dr Gurule is happily married with 3 children, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Her family brings her extreme joy and happiness. She also enjoys new restaurants, spending time outdoors and visiting family and friends.
