ABC15 – 3 Ways to Reduce Your Risk of Cervical Cancer

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month, an observance to motivate women across the country to take preventative healthcare steps to reduce their risk of cervical cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, one important way women can discover and treat pre-cancers before they exacerbate is by scheduling an appointment with a local health care specialist early on who can perform the correct screenings. Women and teens alike can take additional action to ensure optimal health by following a few quick tips, including getting vaccinated and refraining from smoking.
