Joy Ageh, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Joy is a Licensed Professional Counselor born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Joy migrated to Phoenix 10 years ago to begin her journey in community mental health. While working towards her Masters degree in mental health counseling, Joy worked as a direct support specialist with children and families. It was then that she realized how important it is to understand that every client and family has a story. Joy has also volunteered her time with the new song center for grieving children and Camp Erin to treat children (age 5-18) who have experienced a sudden grief and loss in their lives.

Joy is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Cognition from Grand Canyon University. When she is not focusing on her academic explorations, Joy specializes in work with children, adolescents, and families by encouraging healing through creative expression, identifying strengths, mending familial relationships and helping clients to overcome their limitations. As a therapist in the Lighthouse program, Joy hopes to help the youth grow beyond their pain and struggles to see that they can have a life purpose.

Joy likes to spend her free-time traveling, attending music/theater performances ,singing, and playing her guitar.
