Born and raised near Detroit, Michigan, Mark attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science. After working in behavioral health as a Case Manager, Mark decided to expand his knowledge and learn the clinical side of healthcare. Mark went on to obtain a second bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, and has dedicated several years of his service in the area of med/surg, ICU, and Trauma ICU. After taking care of patients at the highest level of acuity, Mark decided to return to his former passion in mental health, an area where there is great need. Mark served the mental health population as an RN Intake Specialist for Bayless Integrated Healthcare while obtaining his Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University. Mark is now a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner seeking to make a positive impact on his patient’s lives.
Mark is a loving husband to his wife of 10 years (also a nurse), and is a proud father of 3 children, ages 8, 5, and 3. In his spare time, Mark likes to vacation with his family to the California beaches or up north in the mountains, and also enjoys mountain biking, playing guitar, and is a dedicated fan of all sports, especially University of Michigan football.
