Sammy completed her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Spanish at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA and later went on to obtain her Master’s of Counseling at Arizona State University.
Sammy is the supervisor of the LGBTQ+ Support Specialty Team at Bayless and is passionate about helping her fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community in both her personal and professional life. Sammy currently holds credentials as a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Sammy has completed extensive training in her other clinical areas of interest including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and LGBTQ+ issues in counseling, with a specific focus on gender identity issues and supporting transgender clients through their transition journeys.
Sammy was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona but has lived in and traveled to many other places throughout her life. Sammy loves learning and trying new things and strives to experience everything life has to offer. In her free time, Sammy enjoys creative hobbies, volunteering, traveling, cooking, playing with her dog, and spending time with her family.< Return to All Providers
